CELEBRATING Semillas del Despertar / Chenrezik: En beneficio de todos los seres, Seeds of Awakening / Chenrezik: For the Benefit of All Beings

Chenrezik, the book, arrived the first day of the second Spanish language retreat at KTD. And they are beautiful.

Last year, at the first Spanish language retreat at KTD, Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche offered the students the empowerment, reading transmission, and instructions on the practice Chenrezik, one of the main practices of the Kagyu lineage. This book, Chenrezik For the Benefit of All Beings / En beneficio de todos los seres, is the product of the 2013 Spanish language retreat.

There are three parts to the celebration of our new book.

First, we immediately brought the book to show Rinpoche; he was delighted.

Chenrezik: For the Benefit of All Beings / En beneficio de todos los seres inaugurates a new bilingual collection of clear and concise instructions on core practices from great masters of the Karma Kagyu lineage. Produced under the guidance of His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, Seeds of Awakening/Semillas del Despertar brings essential teachings of Tibetan Buddhism to two of the world’s major language communities. One of the most highly revered living masters of that lineage, Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche offers here a detailed explanation of the Chenrezik practice, based on For the Benefit of All Beings (Drödön khakhyabma) composed by Thangtong Gyalpo. Drawing on his decades of experience guiding Western students and with the sparkling clarity that is so typical of his teachings, Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche in this book offers students all that they need to plant their own seeds of awakening. This first publication in this new collection of bilingual texts will be followed by Vajrasattva, Green Tara, and others.

This year, at the second Spanish language retreat at KTD, Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche is offering the students the empowerment, reading transmission, and instructions on Green Tara, also one of the main practices of the Kagyu lineage.
